Try frostwire instead of limewire it's a bit faster and same interface.

I don't bother with connecting a back up drive on the time machine. I jsut back up every few days or when I do something major. I just connect via usb and wait....way way faster than networking it.

Just set it up manually. I think normal is like 1500. I do about 3200 for good movies. mp4 no anamorphic and de-interlace where I have to.
