Also, there are apparently rules as to where you put the memory, or so I'm told. I forget into which end you put larger mem modules (I think closer to the center of the board, but check first).

a better graphics card may give some help. Did you mention in another post that you had another one, possibly an ATI rage 128? You may want to hook it up and see what the differences in system...

Lightbulb problem resolved

I figured out that in the process of switching back and forth between the computers I'm working on apparently caused the monitor to go bad. Both G3s are working fine now; I'll just need a new monitor!
