I was under the impression that a Mac will search the whole drive for an OSX install before trying to boot a Windows OS, thereby making Windows slow to boot.
Have I been misled?

I'm hoping that when Apple decide to do something about support for EFI booting Windows they'll issue firmware updates (if required) for recent Macs.
Sound does not work in EFI Windows on my mid...

I use Clonezilla Live for backups of everything on my Mac.
I use backup images of separate partitions or a full disc backup.
They've never let me down for Boot Camp backups.

To be honest I have had no such problems as I don't have a WD drive, so can't really advise.
At a minimum I would ask WD what they think and take any advice they may give.

It still might be worth a try, tapping the F8 key as soon as you highlight the Windows drive and press enter. It may affect the booting process.
If it doesn't I'm afraid I don't know of anything...

Hi all, I've imported the BC partition (Windows 8.1) as a vm in VMWare Fusion (5) and all works well.
However, it wants activating and will not allow it as the product key is in use on the BC...

Camptune wasn't the best experience for me. I had to re-install everything - including OSX - after trying to resize the BC partition with it....
