Have you tried the hardware test DVD?

I've had that screen before, it was a bad memory module. Confirmed by the hardware test.

Yes that's the correct ram for your Powerbook. Just make sure it's DDR not DDR2 and it's a 200 pin SODIMM.

If you already have a 1 gig ram stick installed. You only need to get 1x1 gig ram stick. But the hardware test would have told you what was in the two ram slots.
