this is per port.

This is also why the superdrive for the MBA will not work with any other mac laptop, kinda dumb IMO.

true, it isnt windows. But OSX updates have had their fare share of screw ups on perfectly working machines. That seems to get overlooked.

Do the update however, you should be just fine.
