so by that, I can remove files that are not in default, as iTunes doesn't refer to them anyway? Then if I move the iTunes library to an external HDD then I just update the path to the new location?...

Good post that was an enjoyable read - real life speed tests based on file sizes rather than max speed is more meaningful in my mind, so yours has helped a lot :)

I have something similar to the above - the mini DVI to VGA, simply because I already had a VGA cable for linking my old laptop to my tv.

I would choose the VGA or HDMI over an Svideo connector...
