Problem rsync from linux machine to Xserv RAID

Rsync problem?

is this possible for mac os X server 10.4.8?

I have a linux box which currently a webserver only. I also have a XRAID which connected to Xserve and running Mac OS X server 10.4.8. The Xserve and linux box are both in local network(10.10.x.x)....
