What is this? Ram maybe? (Not a direct Mac question)

Hi. I have been using this as a keyring for a while now. Scans of both sides are attached. And I'm just would to like to ask what ram this is. As it looks like a board of some really old ram to me. And the sticker on it says:

Hyper Ram
By
Hypertec
Australia

Would anyone be able to identify this for me please?

Correct. The one side with the white patch even says RAM on it.

Yes, it's pre-DDR and I would guess you don't have a full sized DIMM on your keychain, it might be a SIMM.

I was going to say the same thing. Predecessor to DIMMs for those of you who've never seen one. Prior to that we installed RAM a chip at a time (OK, well technically, prior to that we used 30-pin SIMMs).

I don't know how useful they are these days, but I've seen them sold as keychains before - but it seems your modules' rings are broken

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Yes they are broken from a little over use and from the fact I drilled the holes in them a little too close to the edge. Yes I turned it into a keyring. I din't know they were sold as keyrings.

And thanks for all the help. I always wondered what this was (the exact type of ram) and now I know.

I looked on google for this ram and came up with this.

And the little 72 in the corner also makes me think you are all spot on.
