This whole argument was bull anyway, everything was hosted off site... the images, the text, the everything... and he was banned for linking to his own blog.

He made a private conflict public in the forums. Whether he hosted, linked, or otherwise indicated anything offsite is irrelevant. He still broke the forum rules by publicly making a personal attack against another forum member. When PMed and given the change to stop, he then continued to post again anyway.

He was warned, he decided not to listen, so we banned him.

If abiding by rules that provide respect for all members in these forums is too much for you, perhaps this isn't the best forum for you to be in. But from my perspective, our greatest growth has come from the fact that every member and every question or problem is treated respectfully here which is more than I can say at many other Mac forums on the net. Mutual respect at all times has been the bedrock of this forum since the beginning.

...

As I stated multiple times, the rules need to be revised.

If the rules don't fit your needs, there are other message boards out there that may be better for you.

I never said they didn't fit my needs. I don't need rules, but if they are there then I follow them.

I'm talking rewriting the rules. I'm sick and tired of you mods writing up your own rules when they aren't stated in the rules thread. Such as the "astericks are not allowed as censoring swear words" when the board does it by itself, and it is not stated in the rules that profanity WILL be censored, HOWEVER it is not allowed all together...

You're splitting hairs. The forum rules are setup as guidelines and the spirit of the rules as well as the letter is what is upheld here. Yes it doesn't say we'll censor, but it does say:

- Watch your language, we are trying to keep this board civilized - NO PROFANITY!

Pretty much same thing. The moderators on this board are a great group of hard working people who are volunteering their time and are committed to keeping this a good environment for all people. If the moderating staff is not to your liking, then again, I offer you the possibility of moving on to another board with moderators more to your liking.
