Very interesting results for the Iowa primary election:

CNN Election Center 2008

I'm quite excited about the gap between Obama and Clinton. Very surprised by how well Edwards is doing. Not surprised at all with the Republican result. A bit sad about Paul's turnout, but understandable considering the type of Republican voter in Iowa. Hoping to see some more support for Paul in New Hampshire.

I know it doesn't really mean anything, but I'm practically giddy at how poorly Giuliani did

I too am curious about who will win the caucus. Clinton and Obama are close. As long as we dont get another George W. I'll be happy

Giuliani spent almost zero time in Iowa. Rudy will be our next President. You heard it here first.

I, for one, am glad you can't vote yet. Looks like you need to mature a little more before you go making decisions for the country.

EDIT: thanks for taking care of the profanity (mod?)

I'm cool about people not voting. It makes my vote count more.

I am not surprised by the Republican results. I AM surprised by the Democrat result. I kind of expected Obama to win, or at least tie. But he clobbered Clinton. Edwards? That scares me. I really do not like him. I hope New Hampshire puts him a bit further down.

Of course, in reality, Iowa means very little. We will all have to wait to see how this one turns out. It is still going to be very interesting.

Well, Thompson and McCain tied for 3rd on the Republican side, so I'm fairly happy. I can't stand, and will not vote for, Romney. Huckabee wouldn't stand a chance against Hillary or Obama in a General election.

Anyone want to make bets on how long before this thread gets closed. The silliness and profanity started 4 posts in. That's got to be some sort of record....

I don't know about Thompson. He has very little 'energy', which is so important for the President. I just don't think he could stand up to the charisma and charm of Obama. When Thompson talks, people want to shoot themselves.
