At the same time.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? It sucked.

Hood is messed up. Light is broken. Mirror is smashed. Could have been a lot worse. I'm pretty lucky.

The problem is that my car is "Totaled" already, because of a wreck a while back. No insurance money for me.

My mother has hit many deer, and though I've never hit any, I'm pretty paranoid about it. She hit one 3 days after buying a new car!

I have a 1965 Mustang I completely restored. A couple months ago I went for a drive and almost hit a deer less than a mile from my house. He came darting out of the woods and was so close I couldn't see it's legs and I could hear the hoofs scraping across the road!

It's important to keep a sharp eye on the roads this time of year. Here's an interesting fact for the water cooler: the deer is the deadiest animal in America due to car accidents caused by hitting them.

my girlfriend and I live 3.5 miles apart (shorter if you run through the woods) and I always make fun of her because deer run across her road (of the side the steep hill) but I have smart deer on my road that run along the road rather than across it

anyways, your car did just what it was supposed to, absorb the impact and crumple rather than the force travel through and hurt the driver/passengers

It happened to my Mom a few years back in her 300M. It totally messed up the front of her car. A few weeks after it was fixed someone rear ended her and a few weeks after that someone almost got her at the end of the block. My mom was too scared to drive it after that and sold it.
That sucks that you're not getting any money from it to fix it back up.

What kind of car do you drive? If its just the hood, mirror, and light, you could probably get some after market parts for a low price. Of course they won't come painted. If you are somewhat car savy, and have a helping hand, you could install the parts yourself.

My friend hit one on the interstate in my car. Some to think of it, she's been the cause of pretty much most of the damage to my car.

I did run over a dead skunk the other night. I thought I could clear it but I guess I still sit a little too low. Now for some reason the inside of my car smells like skunk.

I just hit a deer as well.

Well, it hit me, rather.

My girlfriend had just met my Dad for the first time at Thanksgiving dinner. When we left everyone warned us to watch out for deer. Well, sure enough, as soon as we pull out of their street, onto the main road, a few deer scamper across the road. I slow down to a crawl, but as we're watching them flee into the woods, we feel and hear a huge crash on the back passenger side of the car. A deer just freakin' ran into us.

Luckily it didn't leave any dents or anything and I saw the deer run away, I assume it was fine.

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.

I've had that happen before. We were completely stopped and it ran right into the front fender. Stumbled around for a few minutes then ran off into the woods.

I hate seeing deer dead on the side of the road. I saw one get hit and just lay there and flailing its arms and legs and it couldn't get up...That really bothered me..
