I downloaded Firefox for Windows and after the download it put an icon on the desktop labeled "Firefoxsetup-0.9.2. It has that icon that looks like a Window, and when I attempt to open it, it shows a MS-DOS Window with a blinking cursor, no writing, and then the box goes away after about 2 seconds?? Did I do something wrong or is there another way of opening the window?

You're on a mac and you downloaded the windows version? I don't know how that virtual PC stuff goes.. There is a mac version.

or do you also have a PC?

When a program doesn't execute properly, that black screen sometimes appears. I don't know what could have happend. Did the download get interrupted?
I would download the installer again.. this time just open directly from the link on the site.

I loaded it on a PC. It's my main machine. It's a Sony Vaio.

My Mac is too slow to handle the intertent and didn't cost a peny. Look at my Mac specs and you will see what i'm talking about

Matt... Just a reminder.
Be sure you use the Macintosh version for any software you attempt to install.

Actually, the Performa 5200 is a PowerPC, it was also called PowerMac 5200, depending where it was bought.
It was the first all-in-one having a PowerPC CPU (PPC 603). I had one too for a while, and it's definitely too slow for anything...

And yes, hype.it, it has a LC PDS-slot, which was a little different than the normal PDS-slot.
