Just as I was about to buy office for 125, I found out that the university I go to has a contract with apple and microsoft and they sell it brand new for 6 bucks. Insane deal.

I just wanted to post it because I was happy about it.

Yeah, it's great to be a student! I got Office for $10, Mac and PC, Vista for $10. Too bad Apple doesn't come up with a deal like that. I guess half price is better than nothing though.

Yeah, my last school had a great partnership with Microsoft. We got all sorts of stuff for free, from XP Pro to Office XP. I miss that school

Interesting, I know we have Apple discounts at my school, but the prices are still too steep. MS Office is $149.95 for me (Student & Teacher edition). Don't even ask me about the full price.

I don't think I'd take that if they paid me to.

True, but its always nice to have a piece of software that is legit and free, considering other people are paying big bucks for it
