I just moved into a new place downtown, and finished getting my desk and whatnot set up. This is my 12" 1.33 GHz Powerbook named Nephthys, plugged into a KVM switch, in dual monitor mode. I do most of my work on the big monitor, and keep messengers and iTunes and whatnot running on the Powerbook's screen. Sometimes I watch a DVD on the Powerbook while I'm working...

Anyway, the PC on the left is my 2400 with 1 gig of RAM and an 80 gig drive, it's for gaming. The computer just below it (which you can't see) is my network server. It has a quarter terrabyte of space and runs a webserver, FTP, file-server, etc. The camcorder under the desk (which you can barely see) is my new digital 9 Sony Handicam. I plug it straight into the Powerbook via Firewire and do editing via Final Cut. I LOVE it. There is a full sound system, the speakers are hidden behind the grates in the desk, and the sub is on the floor. There's a few other odds and ends, cell phone, iPod, Canon scanner, cable modem, etc.

Hopefully in six months this whole setup will be replaced with a new dual processor G5. The Powerbook will still be staying, just won't be used on my desk anymore.

Just another picture of a happy Powerbook owner...

I snapped it tonight with my Sony digital camera. I really need to get a tripod for this thing, so my pictures look better.
