It must have been released in Croatia around about the same as here in Aust. The US saw it over a month ago I think. I recall it being discussed here on the forum. Most agreed with you.

I got the same impression from the preview. I probably wouldn't have gone to see it anyway, because I don't like dark pictures.

You are one of those who would go right back to the end of the line right after finishing riding one of those killer roller coasters, I bet.

I have a friend who loves it and his favorite movies are all very dark so you are right there. I saw a bit of it at my friends house. It was ok but not something I would go out and buy.

it's not a horror movie. it's a historical and an epic movie about how 300 of the worlds bravest men fought with a 1000000 (yep it says a million) of their enemies, and how they would and should have won if they weren't betrayed.

You MUST go and see it :black:

I had to seriously suspend my disbelief, but I liked it a lot. I, and some people other people I know who saw it, got a feeling of political undertones related to the "war on terror" and Iraq.

A big "meh" from me.

The action scenes were great, but plot and character development were virtually non-existent.

Check out the graphic novel, though. It's nice.

I thought it was outstanding. I've seen it twice now and I'm sure I'll get it on DVD when it comes out.

And as I mentioned in the previous thread, it's impossible for me to see how this movie was some kind of WoT/Iraq political thing. It's about an actual recorded historical event 2,500 years ago, and it's based on a graphic novel that was written years before 9-11. It's not Frank Miller's fault that it was Persians who tried to invade Greece. :ninja:
