For Christmas (which was two months ago, for you pagans out there) I bought my wife something called "Brain Age" for the Nintendo DS. The problem is that we don't actually have a Nintendo DS. And every single store, every single online retailer, seems to be out of stock and has been for ... well, two months!

Is something going? Is it some kind of major conspiracy against my wife? If so, why didn't anyone invite me to help?

Any info?

The DS is a really hot item. Nintendo's 'gimmick' is really shining through, and is pretty much dominating the handheld market given that it can also play GBA games.
Just keep trying, you're bound to get one eventually.

I don't know where you look, but I've walked into Toys R Us/BestBuy/Target/WalMart and I've seen them in stock. I think most stores restock on Sundays, in time for their Sunday Ad, so maybe it'd work out if you checked the store then. I've heard from other sources online that they're hard to find, but I've seen them in stores on shelves. Maybe I'm missing something? Anyways, best of luck to you and your wife!

the new DS lite is a great piece of equipment. i've had mine since oct/nov. and love it. even though i really don't play that much the games i do play are incredible. of course castlevania are the only games i buy the nintendo systems for.

So let me get this straight...we Park in Driveways , Drive on Parkways , and pay tolls on Freeways?!

Castlevania games for the GBA and the DS were the sole reasons for me to get a Nintendo DS. Then Nintendo started to release a whole bunch of other games that I want. Personally, it was a great investment.

my company has a whole boat load of the old, larger DS (which i have and think i prefer) for sale on our auction site. they're going for 90 bucks plus shipping (blue and silver ones). you could go apply for a BBY store job, get one off the auction site, and then quit!

I hear they are hard to find some places, like New York and Tokyo, but they are pretty easy to find here in Indiana.
