email problems

I used to subscribe to .mac but have let my subscription lapse. While sending email through .mac I never had any problems. Now I have tried Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail. They all work fine except if I try to attach a document. Then none of these programs will send any email which includes an attachment.
I have tried to set up Entourage for email but it requires too many details to be entered concerning servers etc, too hard for me. All the other programs shown above just sort this stuff out by themselves, needing no input from me. I really need to send attachments sometimes for business purposes. Any ideas????

i'm pretty sure each of those free email services allow attachments...

have you checked their f.a.q.s?

I use hotmail and it DOES allow attachments.
