ok, so i'm a windows user switching to mac. i'm waiting for my ibook to come in, and i picked up an old apple lc like i had way back in high school. i don't remember anything about these computers. anyway, where can i find a copy of os 7.5.5 that i can download on my pc and install on my apple? is that doable, or do i have to dl it from a mac so it has the same format? also, can i use this machine to connect to the internet and what not? are there any browsers, email clients, chat programs, etc?

thanks,
jim

OS 7.5.5 was an update to 7.5.3. I didn't know if you had 7.5.3, so here's the link to it anyway:

I can only guess that this machine wouldn't really cope with the internet of today.

How much RAM does this thing have?

You should be able to use email and browse low-end websites, but as soon as it comes to Flash and Java based sites, you're going to struggle. If possible, install Opera on it.
