Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible/how to install panther (which is on dvd) onto my g3 imac (which has no dvd drive) from my pismo.

Thanks,

Kitsch

i would say firewire target disk mode, but do G3's have firewire?

Otherwise buy an external USB DVD Drive.

the back of our computer looks better than the front of theirs

Thanks to all who replied.

I should have included that buying an external dvd is not an option. I have a dvd on my pismo.

The g3 imac does not have firewire.

Hopefully someone will know if what I asked in my original post is possible.

Thanks,

Kitsch

Without Firewire, I'm afraid you're out of luck! Sorry...

Ask around, perhaps a mate of yours has an external drive you could borrow? (It has to be firewire for the installation to work on a PowerPC mac though I think).
