    Virus Protection On a mac
I am leery about downloading a virus scanner because I heard that anti virus scanners hog recourses, makes macs crash and that Macs do not need virus scanners because macs are a almost immune to catching computer viruses.
I donít know what to do.... Should I download the virus scanner and see what happens and risk mucking up my precious Intel i mac core duo, is it worth the risk ? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your sig is WAY too long. 4 lines. Fix it before Graphite sees it, trust me.

Haha. We all learn the hard way. On the main page are a few stickies with rules. They're worth the read.

oh, and there is an official virus FAQ here:
