    Quicktime, worth the buy?
is Quicktime worth purchasing? I mean, I have the free download, but was just looking at the apple site and wondered if it was worth an actual purchase.

buy it! qt pro is great, you can cut video, and do all sorts of things you can do in a lot more steps in final cut or other pro app. convert video, audio, all sorts of stuff.

Well i dont have a digital vid camcorder yet, but Im sure down the road I will have one. Unless you count my digital Camara I can shoot vid on. If I had something like that, I would probably just use it to play around on.

If you're going to do some major video editing, yes. And get Final Cut while you're at it.

yeah final cut pro is only for pro users, as much as i love it, I don't recommend it for people who are just going to be editing their home video's there is a lot to know, and for some people its not worth learning.

Quicktime Pro is $39 last time I checked. Just the fact it allows me to save videos for later watching is worth it to me. I used to think it cost a lot, but when I saw the price, I was very impressed.
