More or less. The photos make them out to look darker, whether they are is yet to be seen. But they are pretty much indistinguishable from the outside unless your a Mac spotter and can identify them from the port layout.

ThinkSecret speculates that like the hardware, the case is an interim design with a new one perhaps on the way.

However, that said -- there is little to improve on the current design as I see it as I think from the 12 up to the 17" models, the AlBooks looks fab.
