Hey !!

Lets say i get an email with an attachment of either powerpoint or word, when i open the file, it opens in the appropriate program but it freezes my whole computer. Only way to get it off is by shutting it off. I don't understand why this happens ! I opened a powerpoint presentation, the first slide opens up, but thats all i see unless i force the computer to shutdown!

HELP !!!

What version of the Mac OS, and which versions of PowerPoint and Word, are you using?

Does it only happen with email attachments? Can you open PowerPoint by itself, or does it always crash?

I would suspect that the files are corrupted, then. Try asking the person who sent them to send them again, or try to get them on CD or flash memory disk.
