This news makes me sad, really. He was one of those figures who was always "around" as I was growing up and I always thought he'd live forever. The stroke of course woke me up to the fact that he was indeed not a vampire and susceptible to aging like anyone else lol.

I'll always have good memories of the guy, and I guess that will have to do.

I put Richard and the other in brackets. That word is also used as a swear word, so the forums word filter is doing it's job.

I wish there'd be a forum filter that would automatically convert "it's" to "it is."

Sad indeed, but New Year's ball drop ceremony will be a bit more entertaining and joyful now that there isn't a host who monotonously babbles senseless cliches about the new year.
