Question Who is the average Mac user???

So, for my college my college statistics course, I was assigned to find out who the average Mac user is.

So, if you wouldn't mind answering these three questions, you can help me out with my final semester project:

1. Are you a male or female?
2. How much time do you spend on the computer a day?
3. How old are you?

Thank you so much for taking your time out to answer these questions... It will make my project that much more percise.

As the project progresses over the semester I will keep you all updated in this thread.

Don't know if you'll get the average 'Mac User' by surveying here - you're more likely to get the average 'Mac Forum User' - which I'd be willing to bet is heavily slanted towards being male - which will seriously bias your stats - but since you asked:

1. Male
2. If you're including work 10-12hrs a day - easily
3. 41

Yeah, not to put a damper on the research but BLVPI has a very good point (oh, the pain to admit that). The users around here aren't really "average" unless you define average in a particular way that includes forum goers. What do you define as average? I only ask since you're probably better off getting the info elsewhere. As unhelpful as that may sound, I truly am trying to help.

1) Male
2) 8+
3) 58

I can tell you definitely your statistics here are not going to give you the 'average' Mac user. I did a poll some time ago and found out forum members here run to ~50% IT Techs and related tech specialties.

I agree. It is doing one thing though - making me feel oh so much younger.

Actually, my average age is 38. I have an eighteen year old's brain in a fifty eight year old's body. (18+58)/2 = 38

Male

39

Hope you do get something out of this, because as stated above it will be very bias in this particular place.

PS ~ I see myself not the average user too. Will that reflect in the results ??

EDIT :

You and me both!

Who wants to be average when you can be superior . . .

Of course we always have Brian and Van to even things out.
