Would joining un-secure networks with standard user account reduce risk?
I'm using the hotel's wireless network to join internet and will join the internet this way in the upcoming days. Would joining un-secure networks with standard user account reduce risk?

    Specs:
    12" Apple PowerBook G4 (1.5GHz)
Also, be careful what you send over that network...don't, for example, check your eMail (unless you know for a fact that you're using SSL) or log into any sites that don't encrypt passwords (look for the lock icon.) Anybody could be listening.

Same risk as with a PC, unencrypted Wifi is just as easy to exploited on either OS, but I doubt anyone is hanging out at a hotel trying to mess with people.
