Hello All!

I am not much of a joiner, but since I have acquired a Mac Book Pro, iPhone, & iPad w/Retina Display within the past few years, I will periodically need your help. It can be a little daunting after Windows/DOS all these years.

I thank you all in advance.

Hey guys!

I'm new. Just recently switched to Apple in October after buying an iPod Touch to mess around with some iOS exclusive apps. New stuff smell wasn't even out of the iPod before I was down to the local Apple store picking up a Mac Mini lol

For those who get around to different iWebsites, I also post on iMore.com under the same username.

Welcome!

I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

Hi.

I'm a Mac user for about 20 years now, and I work as a textbook editor. I feel like, as a freelancer who has worked at home for more than 10 years, I've lost some of the office tech know how I used to gain by osmosis just from working around people who are more savvy than me. In so many ways, I'm still using my computers the way I did in 1995. So I made a resolution to make 2014 the year I finally optimize all the tech I own. I'm hoping the forum will supply some of the informal tech support I used to get from colleagues around the office.

I use the Mac primarily for work: Web stuff and editing text. Most of my time is spent on Microsoft Word, which I hate, but am stuck with to some degree. I'm hoping there is a word support thread here somewhere? (And yes, I do prefer Pages--at least I preferred Pages 09--but its a MS-Word world out there).

I am new to Mac Forums. I have been a Mac Book Pro user for a couple of years along with iPad, iPhone and iPod Nano. I am coming here to get assistance with occasional issues. I am glad there are real Mac Geeks here who love to help other Mac users.
