Hi there

Just got my first ever MacBook (went for the MacBook Pro 13”) and I’m absolutely loving it!! I’ve been a Windows user since 3.11 but I’ve always wanted to try a Mac.

Not sure if its just the geek in me but I think it’s a fabulous little machine. I don't know why I haven't taken the plunge sooner

I’m finding all sorts of top information here and I cant thank you all enough.

I’m probably going to lurk a little for the time being, however I hope to be an active member once I find my feet a little.
!
Hope you all have a good weekend!!

Neil.

Ps - How good is this keyboard!! Its an absolute joy to use!

Hello Everyone,

I am noduff88 from Canada and I have just registered for Mac Forums. I have had a Mac for a couple of years now and I have an interest in learning about anything Mac. I have used this forum as a guest many times to get answers to questions that I have had, so I thought it was about time that I joined the community, and maybe give something back. I am looking forward to a great experience.

Hey guys,
My name is Nik, I'm 17 years old and I'm addicted to Macs...
I've had my macbook pro (early 2011) for almost a year now and it's been through quite a bit. I was incredibly cynical about getting a mac since I was so used to windows but over this year my whole world was turned upside down. The Mac experience is amazing.

My main reason for joining the forum is to learn more about my machine and how far I can push it.

Looking forward to learn and better my computer.

Hello all, and hello from me. A newly joined member here, although not a newbie to Macs. I currently own an iMac, an MBP an MBA an iPad third generation...etc..

I hope to provide others with useful help here, as well as making new friends in the Mac community. I have a fair bit of experience of forums, having acted as a Moderator and being a veteran poster on other similar boards.

I am a musician, and I produce music, and music video work is also an interest of mine.

I look forward to posting here, and am sure it will be an interesting time.

I'm looking for tips/tricks, helpful info and to see what folks have to say about their experiences running various software/hardware packages. I'm a long-time mac user with heavy background in prepress and graphic design (all things adobe/quark/font management/etc.) I'm a long-time mac user. (Also a long-time pc user, though I usually only admit that to IT people when absolutely necessary.) j/k - sort of...

I'm here now because I'm interested in browser issues, specifically Safari 5.1.5 on OS 10.7.3. Never really used Safari before (Firefox user) but growing to like the interface, however "___ errors occurred opening the page..." is getting old and it struggles with video and images at times. Also tells me I'm not connected once in a while in a new tab. It's not being truthful. I may put it back in the corner but thought I'd see what others say.

Maybe I can be of some help to someone out there as well. Thanks.

Welcome. This really isn't the right place for a technical discussion. I would recommend creating a new thread.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Hey all, I'm new here. I'm Jim, 20 years old accounting major at St. John's.

Got a regular macbook when I was in 8th grade and upgraded to the 2008 MacBook Pro, which currently has a cracked screen and is what brought me here haha. Also have the iPhone 4

looking forward to being here!

Hey there I am justk or karen. I have always had a PC and then my kids got ipods and I got an iphone and started to talk to people and a good bunch of them said that the work flow for a Mac is so much nicer while doing the photo editing so I looked for a while and then though wow I am just going to take the plunge and get a Mac.....well needless to say I am typing this reply on my PC because I have all of my helps and questions all up on my PC while I am playing on my Mac....as of now we are having a major case of love vs hate I love the screen and I love the stuff that is on there and I love that it is challenging me but I am hating it too because it is soooo hard to learn and I am afraid I am going to break it. So I was led here and am going to cruise through the threads to see if I can find answers to my questions and if not I will be asking.....I won't be answering anyones questions because....well I just suck at being a proud Mac owner at the moment LOL!!!!!!
a bit about me I am a work at home mom to 7 children. I am a photographer and I love my Canon 7d. I just ugraded to Photoshop CS5.1 from 3 which i have used for years and that is making an adjustment there but I love that!!!! I do collages/montages for people as a unique gift for the person who has everything!!! That about sums it up!
