I use to change my avatar all the time. I should really start again. Then again, it's an election year and I could get myself into trouble doing that...

Mine has been my trusty iBook G4 and has been for years. I changed it for a while then came back to the good old iBook Avatar after an animal threw up all over the poor iBook and shorted out the logic board. Got a new board for $25 and it's like new again!

Be careful XJ! Grin

Schweb kept telling everyone I was Richard Simmons! I could only fight it for so long, then I eventually just embraced it. But it makes every post exciting, awkward, or just plain scary.

Sage iMac G3. I love the iMac G3, and I did have it set as the Indigo for a while, but it seemed that that was pretty common so I decided Sage would be good. It's a bit of an "oddball" color as far as G3's go.

Found myself doodling over coffee one drowsy morning. I like the Apple logo but was too lazy to try to figure out how to make something my own. Noticed a moon photo I had taken and found myself crudely editing it. Not happy with it, so it will change. Wanted something to find my own posts.

Update: this thread got me thinking so I changed the avatar from the moon-apple to this fireworks photo I took a few years ago. Why? Because I like it, has positive look to it I think, fun. Fits with my Apple experience (so far).

Longtime Windows, then onto slippery slope with iPod/iTunes in 2006, then Apple TV, iPad, iMac and finally iPhone in 2011.

Rob and I were trying to get Nick to change his avatar, and Rob proposed this. I loved it and took it for mine.

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

I want to buy a Mac when I can afford one, but I will still need Windows most of the time for the software I use in my Engineering degree (indeed, I'll probably have Windows set as the default boot partition during term time, switching back to OS X in the holidays), so the Boot Camp logo seemed appropriate. I used a coloured-in version just because I thought it looked better!

For my purposes as an engineering undergraduate; Windows is respectable (& generally necessary), Linux is admirable (& often useful), OS X is enjoyable (& requires no further justification, although plenty could be given)!
