Hello Mac folk,
I uploaded my new website a couple days ago and have gotten a bit of feedback that has me wondering if visitors using Mac platforms are having some display issues. My site has fine art photography so getting images to display adequately across platforms and browsers is of keen interest to me. At least as well as is possible given the lack of standards for platform/browser color calibration or control. It appears images look ok when viewed by those with Windows systems using common browsers. My own platform is a Dell Windows system with a IE browser. Images are sRGB with gamma conventionally set for 2.2, Monaco monitor calibrated, which look perfect when input to my lab used nationally by many pros. One person with a Mac was complaining about images looking quite brown which has me scratching my head. So I'd appreciated it if a few of you on the Apple systems would take a quick look at my site and comment on the color and luminance viewed. Or anything else odd. Greatly appreciated, thanks, ...David |

my oppinion... pictures look really good, and the color is fine on the mac. The problem as i see it that you have those awesome pictures, but the website is not showing off the incredible talent you have as a photographer... I would say spend some time on the site you have really good pictures but the environment that the pictures are being shown is not up to the par that the pictures set

Thanks for the checks, much appreciated.
PB >>>"...but the environment that the pictures are being shown is not up to the par that the pictures set." Yeah my site is relatively primitive still as photo sites go. No fancy slides shows, disolves, animation etc. But then what can you expect from an old test engineer without formal software education that picked up a book on html, read it, and cranked it all out in short order haha. So I'm forcing myself to study some Java at the moment to get to that next level. About as bad as trying to read a C++ book...yaaaaawn! thanks loads again folks, ...David |

everything is showing up just fine over here.
few comments though, the background makes the text a little difficult to read at times (that or i am tired) all the pages seem to have different setups which can get confusing and get dreamweaver or some sort of website creator and use that to set up templates and then all you have to do is put in the info and BAM! a website in about 3 days if you have no clue what you are doing good luck with the site, your photography, and i hope that you make some money as well! -chris MoTM honor roll... when? i dont remember |
