There is always other schools and many famous people are uni dropouts or not that smart. So pity you will not get from me. But you will get words that pretty much mean "So what. You'll take this as only a slight stumbling block on the path to what you want to to do in life".

You'll make it, just give it time.

Yep, just find another school and go for it! As for people with debt needing grad school, that is what grad school does to you, it puts you in debt!

I'm neither so I take it I'm not experiencing grad school the way I should be then.

Then you must be gettings lots of scholarships, and that's good. But the grad students I've talked to here, are all in extreme debt.

You need to go get a credit card or three and max them all out then never pay them.

Many folks that attend college (undergrad. or grad school) take out student loans...and yes...graduate with debt. But this debt (for most graduates that take out student loans) may only total $10,000 - $20,000 dollars. Some folks that go to expensive law schools, expensive MBA programs, or expensive medical schools are the folks that may be racking up debt in excess of $50,000 - $100,000 or more (but this is only a small minority of all the folks that attend grad. school).

And of course many many folks attending undergrad. or grad. school graduate with no debt. There are many many many studies that prove that the average person that attends college earns more money over the course of their career than someone that does not attend college.

You can live at home and finish university with the only debt being the tuition fees. Large debt but no other. Or with a part time job and living like a pauper you can do it on the outside. But you just hive a high lifestyle while studying. There's just not enough cash coming in to afford it unless you live on credit.

Or people like me that do their graduate work while working at a full time job. The company pays for the grad work..and I just kill myself for 5+ years trying to accomplish both..

Definitely a tough way to do it...but in the end...better than not doing it at all. And of course nice that you have no debt in the end (or usually don't)!

Nope, just the entrance scholarship and mandated TA work. Entrance pays for tuition and TA pays for rent and food (and beer). It all depends on the program too as pigoo3 mentioned. Education (my field) has higher than average tuitions but not law/medicine high (thankfully).

No pity here. That's life. You gotta learn that not everything will come your way.
Sadly, not being accepted usually means you could have done something better. If you don't learn from that, it will repeat again later. If you want real pity talk, talk to your parents.

Nick, thankfully in this case I'll get out with no debt..apart from the blood, sweat and tears of carrying the course load with a very demanding job..
