I am trying to connect my Garmin Etrex Vista GPS, the early monochrome model with the PC serial connection cable, to my shiny new Macbook Pro. I have a serial to USB adaptor, but the driver CD with it is a mini CD and I can't use it with either my Macbook or iMac 20 1/2. Is there any way that I can connect it???

John.
Now I know what it's for it either wore out or fell off!

I'd suggest heading for the web site of the manufacturer of your USB to serial adapter to see if they have a driver for OS X.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
