Personally, I've never found any issues with streetview. I mean anybody can drive down my street and see my house.

The comment, though? Shows quite a lack of tact.

I do find it a bit weird on how detail they make the images during street view, I could imagine someone using them in a wrong way, instead of having to be in front of the house in person to do the same thing. You can opt out of it to where they make your house not able to be clearly seen.

Personally I love street view. It's great if you need to go somewhere you have not been to and want to get a visual of the area. If your house hunting and want a nice 360 view of the neighbor hood without actually going there.

That takes me back 6string ~ wifey and self spent four week honeymoon on Paradise Island in 1963, but then of course a luxury motel was all that was on the island. Where you are was just water and canal development from memory.

I'll admit, I'm a hypocrite when it comes to Street View. It's useful for finding places and also quite nice when looking at potential real estate to invest in. It's fine for you all who want those details available to every anonymous person out there, but I'd prefer if it were an opt in service rather than an opt out service. Now I need to go find out how to opt out!

Never stand outside the front of your house doing something that you don't want seen. Google's van may be taking your picture!

I use Street View but just do not like Googles attitude a lot of times.

Your apartment is not hiding you! I see you in that window waving that Linux flag! Grin

That is great! Thanks for that. I have seen pics of people mowing lawns, watering, putting out the trash, ETC.

My general opinion is get over it. If you live in a house, your front yard and front of your house is constantly seen by the public. If you don't like that build a giant fence, hedge, or move into an apartment.

Google Street View is no more of a privacy invasion than me walking or driving down any street.
