New Mac tomorrow!(Not sure where to put this so please move if it’s not in it’s proper forum right now)
I’m finally getting a brand new iMac, my first new one.
My first one (which is also my current) was one which was handed down to me by my parents when they bought a new one. It is an iMac7,1 with a 20” screen and a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
My Grandparent’s ~6 year old computer’s harddrive bit the dust and they think it’s time for a new computer, and I convinced them it’s time for a Mac. They’re getting this one and I’m getting the new one, not sure the exact specs but something fairly middle class from this generation of iMacs.
Will update tomorrow with specs!-Dylan

So uh, unfortunately our local Apple Authorized Reseller doesn't have the new iMacs in, and won't for several months, so they've given me a great deal on the iMac10,1 instead. I won't get it until tomorrow because they are transferring all my data over to the new one, and wiping the old one so I can give it to my Granny.

May I remind you it's just an Apple Authorized Reseller, not an actual Apple Store, the nearest Apple Store is nearly 2 hours away. It also manages PCs and things like that so it does have other things to worry about.

Ah, I have to drive 2,348 Km to get to the nearest Canadian Apple Store.

Hey come on...getting a passport has got to be worth it to visit an Apple Store!
Of course given your location...it would be REALLY far to any Apple Store (Canada or US based).
Also...Alaska Apple Stores was mentioned in this thread. Believe it or not...there are no Alaska Apple Stores!

I was going to, but unfortunately the SD card was snapped the other day, and my camera doesn’t have an internal memory.
@pigoo: Well that’s a shame.
