I got mine, and I think I was on it for 2 days without stopping. I have probably been on it at least 10 hours a day since then, lol. I washed it every day. I washed my hands before using it... I named it! lol

When I ordered my Powerbook they accidentally sent me two of them... so I opened them both up and screwed around with them for a week or so until I decided which one was the better one... and sent the other one back.

I got my iBook on Christmas and I had to wait for everyone to open their own presents first. There were like 9 people, so I was going mental. Then I just whispered the rest of the week for some reason. Kept hugging the box. Same with my iPod.

I bought mine from the Apple Store downtown.. was way too giddy on my way home. Set up Tiger, then went back out for another gig of ram and PS CS2. Now it's got the rest of my pre-planned software setup on it (Macromedia MX studio, MS Office for Mac). And I've only had it for 9 days (bought it last Tuesday).

Ah the 15" PowerBook. Great machine. Can handle multi-tasking great. Really fast, back-lit keyboard. Out of this world. But I still love my iBook's smallness and whiteness.

I LOVE MY 17" THOUGH!!! But I want to find a used iBook. Preferably a really cheap clam shell that I can travel with and not worry about. The PB is too expensive for me to feel safe with it...

I got my 14" iBook 2 days ago. It arrived at 8:30am!

I punched the FedEx guy in the face, signed the package delivery dealy, slammed the door and ran to my room and started opening everything, ever so carefully. I was smacking my lips the whole time for some reason... my mouth was dry.

I remember it all as if it happened yesterday... even though it was 2 days ago.

got for christmass. I had been begging my dad for an apple computer for sooo long because I really got into video editing at the tv studio at school and wanted my own mac. So I wake up that morning and my dad hands me a little ball shapped oject that is wrapped and i opend it, and it was a fruit apple..... and i was so pissed becuase i thought it was just another one of my dads jokes... continued on opening presents until I got an iPod and i was like yeah a powerbook. then i relized when it was completly open that it wasn't a powerbook accessory it was just a ipod. (20gb to be exact) then I continued opening my last present and it was a powerbook!!!!! and a fully loaded one too, my parents both had smiles on their faces, and my brother was curently holding a box, he looked down at his box that that he had not opened yet and looked at what I just opened, and rushed crazily to open his box, and my parents bought both of us the exact same computers!!!! Later that day I would get mad when my brother needed help but i would quickly show him what to do and I would continue using my computer, I used it all day, and I still use it all the time, I am attached to this computer even though it is currently broken (512 ram no longer works left with only 512) I am upgrading to 2 gis soon so its all good! and that is how I reacted to my new mac!

I ordered my iMac G5 (rev B) from the Apple website, instead of a 45 mile round trip drive to my local Apple store. Gas is about $2.20/gallon so I figured the FedEx people or Apple could suck it up. Believe it or not, I wasn't in a terrible hurry to get it. Instead I was more concerned about getting 3+ gigs of work files including 5 months worth of emails over to the mac. My epiphany was a post here about 'enabling disk use' on the iPod. iPod = backup hard drive, Woot!

Anyway, this is what it looked like when I got all unpacked. You see, however that my umbilical cord was not detached.

Mine came at around 8am and my bedroom is the oposite corner of the house to our front door, so I had to launch myself downstairs to the door just to catch the guy as he was getting back in his van. Come to think of it, I was running towards him waving my arms wearing nothing but my boxer shorts... I'm supprised he didn't run like ****. I didn't sign my name either, I just made sure there was a squiggle and went inside with my new box.

It was like fireworks night after that, everytime something came out of the box i kept making "ooooh," and "aaaaahh," noises.

I haven't had a brand new mac in like... 6yr, but I remember it like I remember the birth of my child... OK slight exageration. Here is the tale. [Insert cheezy sitcom dream sequence transition here.]

I was at work and my wife called to tell me that I 'had a really big package.' I said: 'Thanks Hun, but do you really think this kind of phone call is appropriate when I'm at work.' Once that little misunderstanding was cleared up I was watching the clock for that 5 pm. When I got home I ran past my wife no hello, no kiss, no nothing and began tearing into the boxes like a greedy child on X-mas morn. 10 days later I peeled my face of the monito, turned around, looked up and said to my wife. 'Oh! are you still here?'

She has had a certain amount of resentment towards electronics purchases ever since. Wonder why? I guess she's just the high strung sensitive type.
