    Hello,

I am a new member and looking forward to a lifetime membership. Also looking forward to making switch from PC to MAC. I am getting tired of constant bugs and viruses of PC. As a matter of fact, I was just reading a blog post where the new features of Microsoft Windows 7 is trying to COPY Apple because of the failure of Windows Vista...

Well, that's been going on for much longer... not new with Vista.

Welcome! You'll have questions. We'll try not to give silly answers.

If you haven't noticed, Windows has been trying to copy Mac OS since the dawn of time.

Also, Vista was a huge failure BECAUSE they tried to copy OS X. They tried to update from XP to include a feature set equivalent of 10.3 Panther. They pushed it to market too soon, and it fell on its face.

    Anyway, welcome aboard!

That is why windows continues to fail in their OS since they only want to copy other beautifully made OS. They should instead make more effort in getting unique ideas into creating a unique OS.

    New Member Hardware Question
Hello all, I am a fairly new Mac User and I believe I may have to reset my hard drive. Is there a quick and painless way to do that? or do I need to take it to the store where they will charge me an arm and a leg to do it. Please help lol!!!

lifill3, you've not gone about this the preferred way. You should start a new topic of your own and identify the problem in its title. Then, when you explain it further in your post, you should try to describe what is going on, and just what you think "resetting" your hard drive might be. That's not common terminology in anyone's computer lexicon. And, your topic probably should go in the OSX - Operating System forum. Note that this forum, called Anything Goes describes its intent as things that are not Mac related.
