That is a good question. I don't think it means anything any more. When the iMac first came out it stood for internet mac.Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, It's about learning to dance in the rain!

I think it's just become a sort of apple thing. I think the "i" has probably changed from the original internet meaning, to the word "I" describing one's self. "I" can chat, "I" can live, "I" listen to tunes, etc.
