Just curious... Are my wife and I the only Mac owners to actually name our Macs? I call my PB "Tanto".... and She calls her iBook "Lappy"... Is this a normal reaction to our love for our Macs.... or have we lost our minds?

I used to name my macs, but right now the only one that is named is an old power tower pro called 'The Projects.' In the Center for coastal and physical oceanography at my school all of the 'puters are named after major ocean currents.

I plan on naming mine when it comes, but of course I won't know what until I use it.

I call my Mac Mini SCRATCH because of my friend who hates Mac Minis saying the Mini scratches easily, so I named it Scratch to bug him.

Seriously though I just call the Sawtooth Dennis Travis Mac and the Mini Dennis Travis Mini. My name. Simple and easy to find on my network! :spook:

I haven't been able to come up with a name that suits my iMac yet... "Brutus" or "The Beast".... are my current nominees... But I don't think either of them quite work for it... Plus both seem like they should be saved for a Powermac... Or something with a little more bite.

Oh well... It took me 3 months to get the "perfect" name for my PB. As long as I don't resort to using names of charactors from the Waltons or Hee-Haw, like my Dad. LOL
