I purchased a new powermac g5 1.8 back in February and just received my copy of os x Tiger from Apple. I went on their website and entered in my serial number and paid the "media fee" which was like $10.97. I was under the impresssion that you could only upgrade to tiger for the price of the media if you had purchased the mac no later than april 12th. Anyone else have this happen to them?

I bought a PowerBook for my birthday in February, and if I can get Tiger for ten bucks then I'll explode with joy.

I found that.. But it wouldn't check my info because I didn't have a City selected. I bought from the Apple Online Store.

I put in Feb 4th (day before my birthday) and it said the date was incorrect.

Is this up-to-date in February thing real or not?

does NOT work for me and I purchased mine FEB 22nd. It just keeps saying "Correct date".

Plus the serial number will show the date of purchase as well.
