Got me a new car!

Got me a new ride! Picked it up yesterday. It's a 2009 VW Passat. I've gotta say, the navigation/entertainment system on this car is amazing. It's got a 20GB hard drive, so I don't have to worry about plugging in my iPod.

Did you trade in your clunker? Nice car. I like Jettas myself, but the Passat has a nice air about itself. Looks classy.

I tried to but there was some nonsense that went on with that. Let's just say I got shafted when the government imposed a deadline.

Well actually, it was a necessary purchase. My other car was on the verge of dying, and I mean literally dying. Transmission dying, engine was misfiring, passenger side window wouldn't roll up anymore and I'm pretty sure the catalytic converter was not fit for the next smog inspection considering the smoke and smell it was putting out. It's sad, I really enjoyed that car. I'm going to miss it

Yea, it was so weird, everything was working fine just a few months ago but in just a matter of a few weeks it all started dying on me.

Oh well, no worries, I have a new car that's a lot of fun!

Yea. Thing is that my last car was in my dad's name (I've been driving the thing since early college) so they needed him to sign off on the paperwork. Problem is that he lives on the other side of the country and so there wasn't enough time to send him the documents and have them back in time to make the 5PM deadline on Monday. What sucks is that when I started the car shopping process, there was no deadline for the program. It was imposed literally a day or two before I bought my car. Hence why I got shafted by the government.
