Well I think it's not a bad idea to offer consumers some choice:

Most regular mom & pops would probably not even consider the eee pc without Windows on it.

But enthusiasts will go for the Linux variant simply for the larger drive, perhaps thinking they'll install windows themselves. But they'll get to experience linux first - never a bad thing!

Xandros is a good flavor.. I used it on my old serve as the install was very minimal, and it was extremely easy to use/setup for all my server needs.
