So I was looking on my Vista computer at system information. And under all the subcategories I can choose, there happens to be "Windows Error Reporting". I was curious and so I clicked it. Here is where it gets ironic. "Not responding" Haha... I laughed to myself, not in comedy, but in pure hatred of Vista. I turned it on again, and it takes like 2 minutes of "Refreshing" to load the long list of errors it has reported. Wanted to share that, don't know why. It amused me slightly, only cause I know I'm done with Windows in 15 days.

I'm not a Windows fan, but I hate Vista more than any other... if I have to use a PC I stick to '98 where ever possible, though now I'm looking at getting XP or Vista and Fusion or Parallels...

please no-one get vista I even warned my mum on how crap it is and she still brought it.

As I predicted from the XP release vista is just a **** on its release.

SO SLOW no matter what your config
Horrible layouts, deffinatley not user friendly in most aspects.
So hard to get used to
and my biggest and proudest prediction, many bugs that normal people would automatically think that the computer is dieing already but they simply are stupid mistakes by windows with the graphics disapearing and forgetting things.

RANT OVER

Ya, I used to be able to check out all my network settings (ip, mac address, etc) on XP just by right clicking the little internet thing. Now, since it is apparently so easy and user friendly, you can't find those in-depth information. You get "Connect to network, turn on animation (wtf?), repair" and then network center, which tells you a whole lot of nothing. Weird as it sounds missing anything Windows, but I do miss my XP.

Yep, I didn't bother with Boot Camp (because I don't want to commit that much space on my drive AND have to reboot).

I run XP Pro in a Virtual Machine with Parallels and am chuffed to bits - I only need XP for a couple of progs not ported across. It also gives me an XP fix when I get frustrated with not understanding the Mac way.

Those times are however, getting fewer.

Performance wise my MBP flies in comparison to my Acer high spec business travellers machine.

I have already emailed my friend in Abu Dhabi who inspired my to switch with a big thank you.
