Open up disk utility click on the very first HDD than click the partition tab, select the partition you would like to get rid of, hit the minus button and click apply! Voila!

No it won't are you clicking on the very first drive on the list? The one that starts with the size of your hard drive?

yes you can use the Boot Camp to remove the windows partition..
Open Boot Camp and click remove partition and then click restore...Something like that. But it will restore your old Macintosh HD
