bootcamp XP sp2i put xp sp2 on my 2.2gh blackbook and its so slow. i have 4gb of kingston ram and it recognizes 2.96gb. anyone experiencing the same problem? i appreciate any suggestions, thank you in advance

You forgot to mention how you run XP on your Mac. BootCamp? Parallels? Fusion? You are running Leopard, right? You have a 3rd-generation Macbook, right?
"It recognizes 2.96 GB..." What is "It"? Windows, or your Mac?

Windows is known to have that problem. Even vista 32-bit supports only 3GB memory. So problem with the OS i guess.. none of your mistake
