i am planning to get a macbook pro, after the release of Leopard! (this will be my first mac ever!) I thought that it was time for a change and i am going to do graphic design in college so i thought i might as well start getting used to these kind of apps. (I'm 15 right now but it's never to early to start) But i am also (like most kids my age) a hardcore gamer. Now i know you can play alot of pc games on the mac using parallel, crossover and boot camp. my question is which one is the best for gaming? for example which would have the highest frames per second when playing counter strike 1.6?? |

i heard that if u use bootcamp alot, ur mac/macbook will get broken quicker. |

BootCamp is currently beta, but with Leopard it will be included with the OS. BootCamp doesn't touch your Mac partition (other than to resize it to make room for Windows) and Windows can't see your Mac partition - so I don't think there's any truth at all to saying that lots of use will "break" the Mac. If you're going to a fairly large college, you'll be able to pick up a copy of Windows for $5-10 anyway, so just go with Boot Camp and enjoy your gaming. "Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others" |
