Mac Specs: 17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3

Nope. You can't natively boot into XP and any classic (OS 9 and pre) system on the same mac.

PPC macs: Have Classic and Soft PC (and other such programs) for running those OSes in OS X. Plus you can boot up into OS 9 and pre.

Intel macs: You can't boot up into OS 9 or pre on these macs at all in any way. But you can natively boot into XP and vista with bootcamp and through OS X with a few apps.

And to get Classic OSes, try ebay or maybe various software stores. It'll be hard to find.

Mac Specs: G4 Tiger and OS 9

Brown Study is offline
For what it's worth, this Low End Mac link won't help you find System 8.1, but it'll help you find Apple's free updates to it and has info you might find helpful.

Oher pages at the site might give you a lead to obtaining 8.1.
