    cmd power button
    cmd(command)
    i have a performa 630cd and when i press cmd and the power button at the same time it pops up a dialog that has a ">" and i can type things and hit return what is this and what is it used for?
    is it like shell stuff or something like that?
    what is it?

    In OS 9 it prompts the debugger.

    Either way, its the debug prompt in the Classic OS.

    It's used to debug code. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-megabyte pole.
