Right... im having lots of fun with this old iMac (a tray loading one) and were trying to update it.. now the thing is, we have a Mac OSX installation disk, ready to go, but wouldnt you know it, it only read CD, and as you know the installation disk of OSX tiger is in DVD format, so i cant get it to read it.

However, im looking into "aquiring" OSX tiger thats apparently big enough for CD. BUT its in .ISO format. will this run?

i would try an external DVD drive.. and will get a loan of one tomorrow, BUT, ive noticed that OS 8.6 seems not to support plug and play....
