Installing Guest OS in Parallels

i just switched to mac, and i don't know how to install windows in parallels... I have the CD w/ SP2, and it worked on boot camp... when i start the VM a screen tells me to hold the power button to restart, but after restart nothing happens...what am i doing wong??

i've done this...but still the "restart computer" screen shows up...

Are you turning the power off to your machine or to the virtual machine?

I believe you tell your virtual machine to restart, with the xp cd in your drive.

but when this restart screen shows up everything freezes...not like an error, but as if it was programmed to...

I have been trying to install Win Xp into Parallels all weekend, and I am running into the exact same problem. Does anyone know what we are doing wrong? Please help!

ok...i've found the problem... is something like a kernell error...dunno...but the solution is this RC2 from parallels
