I've been trying to figure out if I can install Windows via bootcamp on an external hard drive. I've searched around the forums and from what I can make out it seems that it doesn't often work. Now, I was thinking, if you got hold of an external hard drive that was capable of booting OSX from, in other words an external hard drive that is bootable, do you think it could work? I didn't want to bother you but I'd just like to have a few other people's opinions on the matter.

I don't think so...
For some reason it seems as though boot camp will only work with internal drives. Perhaps something to do with the efi bootloader not supporting USB / Firewire devices yet... |
